I was working on pruning pears yesterday. Here is a before and after shot. Every farmer has there own idea of what they are looking for when it comes to pruning.

Posts have arrived
We are planting 2 acres of Ambrosia apple trees. The posts shown here will be used for the trullus system for this planting. In organic orchards treated posts are not allowed so we use a untreated post and will vote the bottoms in one of the tar based solutions to prolong post life.

The garlic is coming up.
Checking out the garlic field and it is starting to come out. I see weeding in my future.
